Let Me Tell You a Story…

A few months before my two-year sobriety anniversary, I broke my collar bone while mountain biking. Being laid up and not able to do anything left me anxious since I viewed physical activity as the only way to release stress.  However, it was a blessing as embracing stillness allowed me to become more mindful and more present.  More importantly, it helped me further heal from my addiction to overdoing everything and to prioritize my hormonal health.  Through that experience I truly learned the importance of hitting the “pause” button and learned about the “cortisol steal” that had occurred, where my hormones were depleted.

Despite my previous dedication to running and eating the same spinach salad every day (which obviously contributed) I was experiencing symptoms such as irritability, low sex drive, coldness, and hair loss! A DUTCH test revealed that my cortisol was dysregulated, I had adrenal fatigue, all my sex hormones were depleted, and my liver was sluggish!

What I discovered…

I realized that my lifestyle and diet were causing harm to my body.  Despite living what I thought was a healthy lifestyle through running every morning on an empty stomach with only a cup of coffee, and eating the same spinach salad daily, hormone imbalances persisted. Additionally, I had a sugar addiction that was depleting my body of essential nutrients I needed for proper hormone synthesis and detoxification.  

To balance my hormones, I developed a lifestyle and supplement plan that supercharged my metabolism, boosted my energy, helped me hit the “pause” button, and helped me to recognize when bioidentical hormone replacement may benefit me.  As someone who has gone through this myself, I am here to guide you in your hormonal journey.

Making a Choice

I’ve always just done what the doctors told me, but clearly that wasn’t working. I started doing research, and I found out that hormone imbalance led to every single symptom I’d been experiencing.

With answers, I felt better, but I wanted to know what to do about it. I wanted a natural way to get better.

More research showed me the role that food played in my hormone health. This was the first I’d heard of this! All of the repeated ingredients found in my food was at the root of my hormone imbalance. I thought about my diet – it seemed like it was healthy, but I was still depleting my body of critical nutrients.

Not only were these foods harming my body, but I was forgoing the nutrients and vitamins my body truly needed to thrive!

I decided to toss out all the artificial junk in my house and focus on nourishing my body with what it needed – lean proteins, whole grains, fruits, and vegetables.

What a difference this made!

In just a few weeks, I felt an incredible difference. No more joint pain, I was sleeping better than I had in years, and I didn’t feel bloated or anything else. Even better, the weight that clung to my midsection was going away without having to diet or cut calories. I just focused on nourishing my body and giving it what it needed, and the change was amazing! 


My experience changed my life in wonderful ways, and now, I’m on a path to help others! I want to help you enjoy the hormone health I discovered so you can live a life of joy, energy, and vibrancy.

In order to best help others, I leaned on my nursing background and learned as much as I could about nutrition. Now, as a Functional Nurse Coach, I have the passion, experience, and knowledge to help you maintain healthy hormone balance for good!
